Violation(s)/Comment(s)
VIOLATION The water/ steam line connected with to the boiler / heating system for the church is leaking overhead onto the
dishwasher, 2 - compartment sink, and drainboards. Also, there is shelving used for food storage underneath this line. The
issue is that this area shows dripping of this waste water onto the warewashing equipment used by the day care operating a
food service in this kitchen. ( Observed coffee can suspended above dishwasher w/ small tube running down) This is not a
potable water supply and is leaving rusty residue and contamination on equipment used in this area. The day care has to be
able to effectively clean and sanitize all the dishware, equipment, and utensils used in their daily activities.

I talked with the young lady in charge of running the day care. She told me this problem has been ongoing since late last
year. I told her that she is compromising the health of the small children ( susceptible population) by continuing this course
of operation. We discussed the alternatives at this time. a) voluntarily closing the day care until repairs are made, b)
providing protection from overhead contamination by shielding the entire pipe line, c) provide an alternate way to feed the
kids with desposable utensils, and equipment, which we will allow on a temporary basis until repairs are made in the kitchen.

We are allowing a 60 day time frame for necessary repairs to the kitchen. A recheck will be made on Sept 23, 2014 for
  compliance.
